When you hire me to do your extended family session I would take so many pictures that you are going to be lost on what we photographed and what not; headshots of the kids, all the cousins together, doing at least one funny pose, siblings, older siblings and “the kids” (you, the one who probably contacted me) with their parents.
We got together in this beautiful park in Piedmont, ca and I guided them on poses. What I always say is be yourself, be comfortable, have fun. All these indications are going to show in the final gallery, because you are going to recognize yourself being in a little bubble with your partner.
This is a frequent question that I get and this year I am working on a Wardrobe guide that would give you inspiration, some links for brands and different styles to perfectly fit your family.
But with mini sessions starting I thought to give you a few tips ( and links ) that I believe , working with families for years now that would look amazing in your pictures.
I was really honored, as always, to be choosed to photograph their maternity session. We talked about locations, and they decided to go with The Elizabeth F. Gamble Garden in Palo Alto. We talked about what outfits would look better for the session and Sunanda end up choosing a beautiful white long dress that made her and her tummy glow.
So, when they contacted me and decided to work with me for their wedding I was really happy and honored.
They are a relaxed, simple and friendly couple. I watched them throughout their day and you can see how everyone there loves them and cares about their happiness, for me that talks about how good people they are.
A heat wave just passed but, the leaves are already falling down, the stores have their pumpkins ready to sell and I am using a sweatshirt to take my daughter to kinder in the morning, so I am ready to release my Fall Mini Session of this year.
When I got the message “baby is here, is a girl and her name is Ada” with of course, a picture of her gorgeous, cheeky face I couldn’t wait to meet her!
Roxana contacted me a few months ago to photograph her engagement with Neil at this stunning location. We talked about her timeline, what pictures I can not miss and the groups of family and friends they wanted to take prior to the beginning of the event.
